Checking paint under the ceiling grid

The white LED grid on our ceiling is how we check paint. Each tube is straight, so its reflection in a flat, undamaged panel is a straight line too. If the reflected line bends, the panel has a dent, and if it looks fuzzy, the paint has swirl marks too fine to see when you look at it straight on.
That's why we do all our polishing under the grid. Daylight is too soft to show the last of the swirls, and paint that looks fine outdoors can still look scratched under bright showroom lights, which is often where an owner first notices them.
We call the polishing finished when the grid's reflection is sharp and unbroken on every panel. On a curved panel like this Range Rover Velar's mirror, the lines bend with the shape but stay crisp all the way along.
To see your own paint under the grid, message us and we'll find a time for you to bring the car in.
