How to washa coated car
Almost every swirl mark we correct was put there by washing, and polishing them out only helps until someone washes the car badly again.
One holds soapy water and the other is for rinsing the mitt, so grit from one panel doesn't get rubbed into the next.
Most of the grit that scratches paint is already sitting on it, so hose that off before a mitt goes near the car.
If the mitt does leave a mark, a straight one polishes out easily, while a circular one catches the light from every angle.
Water dries on a hot panel before you reach it and leaves spots that etch in, so wash in shade or early morning.
The spinning brushes wear through a coating fast and scuff the edges of the film.
Pat it dry, as dragging a towel pulls leftover grit across the paint.
Regular wash andinterior clean.
If you'd rather not wash it yourself, bring it to us. We wash the outside by hand and clean the inside, following the same rules for film and coated paint that we give you at handover.
Washed and dried by hand, taking care around the film edges.
Seats, carpets and the gaps around the seats.
Mats cleaned and put back dry.
Dash, console, doors and handles.
Plastics polished, without a greasy shine.
Tar, cement, overspray or deep stains are extra, and we tell you before we start.
The full list of what the wash covers, and what it doesn't, is in our terms.
Bring it back when it stops looking the way it did at handover.
By appointment
Book a wash.
We'd like to keep seeing the cars we've worked on, and if we notice anything while yours is in for a wash, we'll show you.
