Why big panels take two installers

We put two people on any large sheet of film. One holds the leading edge and lines it up on the panel, and the other holds the back of the sheet with even tension, so the film goes down flat without creasing.

When film lifts at an edge or traps dust under it, the cause is often one person fitting a big panel alone and trying to hold a corner and lay the film down at the same time. A second installer holds that corner so the first can use both hands on the squeegee.

On the biggest panels that's twice the labour for us, but taking a panel off and fitting it again costs more than putting two people on it the first time.

Ask us how film would go on your own car, and we'll talk you through it panel by panel.
