Bike tanks& fairings.

A bike tank curves in two directions at once, so film has to be eased onto it a little at a time, which is why a tank takes longer than a flat car panel. A bike also has far fewer places than a car where a film edge can be hidden.

What comes in

Three kindsof bike.

01

Sportbikes

Fairings, tank and tail in film, or a full colour change, with each film edge tucked where you won't see it.

BMW S 1000 RR · Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
02

Modern classics

Chrome tanks and painted panels. Chrome is the hardest surface we put film on, because it's so smooth that film has very little to grip.

Sport tourers

Full fairings cover most of the bike, so there's a lot of film to lay and plenty of edges to tuck out of sight.

Why tankstake longer

If film is stretched over a tank, it shrinks back over the following weeks and the edges open up. So we cut a bigger piece than the tank needs, work it into the curves by hand, and accept that some film ends up in the bin.

Chrome still looks like a mirror under film that's been put on properly, but a rushed job can look fine the day you collect the bike and start lifting before its first service.

What we do on bikes

Film, wrapsand pinstripes

Film

Tanks, fairings and frames in Avery Dennison film, the same film we use for paint protection on cars.

Wraps and graphics

A full colour change, chrome delete or a printed graphic, cut so the pattern lines up across the fairings. The wraps page covers the finishes.

Pinstripes

A line painted freehand with a brush, or cut from vinyl, in gold or a colour you choose. Paint stays for good, and vinyl can come off again.

Before you ask

Bikes.

How long do you keep a bike?

It depends on the job and on how many panels have to come off the bike first, so we'll give you a date once we've seen it.

Are the pinstripes printed?

No. The line is either painted freehand on the tank with a brush or cut from vinyl. Paint can't be peeled off later and vinyl can, so we agree the colour, where the line runs and which of the two you want before starting.

What does it cost?

We give you a price once we've seen the bike. Two bikes of the same model can need very different amounts of work depending on the fairings and the state of the paint, so we don't keep a price list.

The panels come off the bike before any film goes on.

By appointment

Tell us the bike

Send the make and model, with a photo of the tank if you have one, and we'll find a day to go over it with you.
